Meet the Women of Gilead House

 Jessica Turner is a native of North Carolina and recently graduated from Elon University with a BA in Journalism. She works at Epiphany Episcopal Church with Youth Ministry at Epiphany, Spiritually Thirsty (Young Adult Ministry of the Diocese of Maryland), and Neighbor-to-Neighbor (Eviction Prevention Program). She is planning to complete her first triathlon in the spring.  Favorite Quote: “My flesh and heart my fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”  –Psalm 73:26

Dana Glenn is a native of Vallejo, CA and graduated from Howard University with BS degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She works at Excel Academy @ Francis M. Wood High School in downtown Baltimore. She is working as the Parent and Community liaison and establishing a PTO while being a college resource to seniors. Dana plans on pursuing her masters degree in Social Work next Fall and aspires to create a community center for inner city LGBT youth. She lives by the motto, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” -Mahatma Gandhi

Jamie Foust is from Greensboro, NC and a recent graduate from East Carolina University, with a undergraduate degree in social work. She is currently working at House of Ruth in Baltimore MD. Jamie plans on going to graduate school next fall to get her Masters in Social Work. Favorite Quote: “Give yourself fully to God. Zenobia Taylor-Weiss was born in Dayton, Ohio but spent her middle and high school years in Auburn, New York.  She recently graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a degree in International Development Studies.  In Baltimore Zenobia works for the Episcopal Housing Corporation as a community builder in Baltimore’s Remington neighborhood.  Her job involves being flexible and doing all sorts of things ranging from organizing volunteer events to helping Remington residents get their state IDs.  When she is not working she enjoys reading, cooking, and decorating her room.

Janet Nunnally is from Milford, Virginia, where she grew up on a family farm. She is working at the St. Frances Academy Community Center as the Assistant Director of the Facility. There she helps to organize events for the center and run a class for the after school program. She plans to return to college next fall and learn more about urban education.
